Everyone knows about engagement or even bridal sessions, but post-wedding sessions? What is that? Well, it was it sounds like a session after your wedding. What, why, OMG more pictures. 😳
Okay, so I’m here to tell you all about them & help you figure out if having one is right for you!
Here are my top 5 reasons for a post-wedding session!
1. Not everyone has 4k or 10k to spend on a wedding Photographer, now I know I am strat with the go cheap reason and maybe that should be my last one but here we go.
So, in Miami, Florida a good wedding Photographer costs about 4k to 10k. Now everyone has a story they want to tell and well not everyone has the kind of cash. With a post-wedding session, you can take beautiful pictures after your wedding. You can those pciuters at Vizyac or on the beach or whatever locations you want. You dont have to worries about running out of time or being rushed or even bothering with so MANY PICITURS on the day of the wedding.
You can hire someone for Thumbtack for like 1k or less to take basic pictures for the day, or even like a hear all the time I have a friend and then go all out with Gannon Studios, did you post-session that will cost about $399 to about 1k with session and custom book.
2. You want lots of wedding portraits but you’d rather spend at your wedding have fun and enjoying the day.
One of the best things about a wedding is seeing everyone your love together. Tia Ana who lives in Venezuela, or Abuela and dressed up and happy, why would you not want to spend more time with them capturing candids.
This why you should skimp on portrait time so they have more time to spend with their family. You want to go to the cocktail hour & visit with guests? With a post-wedding session, you make time days or weeks and here is the best part recreate your day, with nothing but your love, my camera and a small crew there to recreate the most romantic day of your life! Hello, yes, please.
3. You can let your hair down, literally and furtively! 😜
After the wedding is over? Who cares, right? The dress is already dirty from your day & if you plan on preserving it you’ll have to get it cleaned anyway. So let’s go make some beautiful portraits in an in Wynwood, in the middle of a sunflower field, alleyway, the beach, a pool ☺️, or where ever!
4. You can go to great locations you could never fit into your wedding day.
Yosemite Park anyone? New York? Your first started dating, a location like Starbucks? Hey whatever, you want can happen really! Maybe you want Brickel Downtown to feel, but your wedding is in a hotel. Maybe you are getting married at a church but you prefer the woods or beach photos. We have time & freedom to do whatever you want for your session.
5. You couldn’t take many portraits on your wedding day!
There are many reasons why you just can't take all the images you want of your wedding day.
For example, rain, heat waves maybe it’s freezing outside yes Miami it sometimes drops down to 20 and then what. Or in can feel like 105 outside in January, your all going to have squinty eyes. With a post-wedding session, we can control the season, weather, and schedule. We can postpone the session if it calls for rain.
